As many of you may know, we have had a senior team in Denver following up with the work started at the Curriculum Summit in Vermont. Our goal: To insure that our products are reaching the broadest number of students in the K-12 education system. In order to achieve that, we need to understand public policy trends (budgets under stress, embrace of on-line learning, focus on 21st century skills generally and language and cultural competency more narrowly), the needs of educators, and in particular teachers (high quality content at an affordable price with ease of use and flexible implementation in their classrooms or schools), and the ways that current users are interacting with our products.
Over the past few days our team has rocked! Leaders from Product Marketing, Technology, Content Development, Professional Development/Services, Sales and Marketing and Finance have worked collaboratively to keep us at the forefront of serving this exciting, evolving and rapidly growing market.
Today, the team will present recommendations to Michael Geisler and me to consider ways to improve our product development roadmap, empower the sales force, and dynamically incorporate user feedback into our development process. I have had a sneak peak at their work and am excited by the continued excellence and collaboration I see from this team every day.
Stay tuned!
