As many of you know, Middlebury Interactive will be moving to a new company headquarters the first week of December. This new space will host the VT all-company meeting on Dec. 14 for our Vermont and remote employees. A second event is scheduled for Jan. 14 when Jane, VT Governor Peter Shumlin, and Middlebury College President Ron Liebowitz will publicly open the office with a reception and press conference.
The Jan. 14th event will also serve as the inaugural session of a quarterly speaker series focused on World Language education. Our Chief Learning Officer, Aline Germain-Rutherford, will host a discussion on our digital curriculum, among other presentations. While we are all excited about the HQ opening and speaker series, we have not been able to come up with a good name for it. We are looking for a catchy, clever name that draws a connection to language learning and cultural understanding.
This is where all of you come in. We are holding a contest to name the speaker series. Please submit your best effort to me (jnorthrup@middleburyinteractive.com) with the subject line "Speaker Series Title" by 5 pm MTN on Monday, Nov. 26. I will select the top three submissions and favor short and witty. These will be passed to the Leadership team for a vote. The person that submits the winning title will win a $100 Amazon gift card. Thanks and we look forward to seeing the creative titles you come up with.
Short and Witty???? The CHAD series. :)
